How to install Linux operating system ?
Online software help presents an informative guide for installinf Linux OS.
To install using one of these methods, you must create a boot CD or USB boot. You do this by downloading an image file from a Mandrill mirror site and copying it to disk or USB key. These files are located in or i586installimages x86_64installimages depending on the version you want to install. The image for the CD boot boot.iso call'd, and one for the USB all.img. Thus, for example, the image file to a CD from the i586 version of Mandriva Linux 2007 is in on any MandrivaLinuxofficial2007.0i586installimagesboot.iso Mandriva mirror site.
To boot from the CD image, burn the iso as an image (not as a file) on a CD or DVD recordable rewritable using your favorite burning software , then reboot with the CD in the drive. if the installation does not start, refer to # Mandriva Linux installation does not start when the system starts with the CD or DVD in the player above.
To boot from a USB key, use the dd command (on Linux) to write the image on the key. You must know the correct device node for USB key - usually devsda1, but it may be different if you use other USB storage devices, SCSI or SATA on your system. Be very careful in copying the image on a SCSI or SATA hard disk you'll make it unbootable and destroy data. The command to use is:
dd if = all.img of = devsda1
If you feel any problem in this method , you may contact Online software help.
by replacing the device node with the correct value. After writing the image , reboot the system with the USB connected. To write the image file on the USB drive in Windows, see WinImage. If the installation does not start, refer to # Mandriva Linux installation does not start when the system starts with the CD or DVD in the player above and select the USB as first boot device. Please note that some systems can not boot from a USB storage device, and the boot device USB floppy drive is different from the boot device to USB. If your system can not boot from a USB key, you must use another method of installation.
In all cases, you are now entering the process of installing Mandriva Linux and the choice is given to the installation method to use.
There are two main ways to install on the hard drive: you can either install from a local mirror of the tree of Mandriva Linux (which you previously recreated by downloading the entire tree from a public mirror , using for example rsync), or you can install directly from the images to CD DVD format. ISO of Mandriva Linux without burning them to disc.
Thats all from Online software help for the time being.

It goes without saying that we are unlikely to experience much success in our lives if we don't take action. That is why Anthony Robbins said ,
"The path to success is to take massive, determined action."
Having planned to do something, we take action to achieve it.
So why is it that we so often decide to do something worthwhile, and either forget it when the time comes, or choose to put it off?
The answer is in motivation, or lack of it.
But what is motivation? I don't intend to define it with precision , but I do want to look at something that is always present when we feel motivated ? emotion.
Ask yourself, when did I last feel truly motivated without feeling some passion for what I intended to do? It could be negative passion as well as positive; for instance, we can be passionate about avoiding pain, but the element of emotion is still there. You cannot be motivated and apathetic at the same time.
The way to motivate ourselves is to raise an emotional response to our plans. We can do this in a number of ways, but a good starting point is to ask ourselves a question:
Why?
Why do I want to achieve this? What benefits will it bring? How will I feel when I have done it?
Having worked out your reasons, concentrate on visualising the end result. Enjoy the feeling of achievement in your imagination , hear what others will say, see the look of admiration on their faces.
How do you feel about achieving it now?
Depending on the nature of your goal, you will find it helpful to revisit your imagination at least once a day until you achieve it.

While there may be a number of different astral projection techniques which people can use in order to help them achieve success, one should bear in mind that because everyone is different , what works for one may not necessarily work for another. Interestingly enough, many people encounter problems with certain methods although for the most part, this is not because of the method they choose to use, but rather because they are unable to relax.
One thing you need to bear in mind right from the very beginning, is that total relaxation is essential, irrespective of which technique you choose t. |
